Ice Scraper Carbon Strip

During the winter months, our ice scraper contact strip replaces the conventional contact strip on trains’ pantographs. It is fitted with a copper scraper strip which clears ice from the overhead line. This ensures uninterrupted power transmission between the overhead line and the pantograph. At the same time, both the overhead line and conventional contact strips are protected from damage caused by rough ice, which reduces repair and maintenance costs. The ice scraper contact strip can be mounted on a reusable aluminium carrier, which can also be fitted with a heating element.
