Ice Scraper Carbon Strip
Winter is not only a challenge for cars. Railroad operations also have to prepare themselves against the cold. For example, if ice forms on the contact wire (overhead line), it acts like an insulator and prevents current transmission. It also increases wear on the carbon contact strips.
So to prevent ice on the contact wire, an ice scraper contact strip offers the optimum solution to this problem. The scraper bar is mostly made of copper or brass and can also be equipped with a heating element.
