Extruded Ceramic Profiles

To make films (especially plastics) printable, their surfaces must often be electrochemically modified and activated using the so-called corona treatment. In this process, the films pass through a high-voltage field in corresponding corona machines. In these machines, the use of high-quality ceramic electrodes is preferable when it comes to the treatment of aluminum-, paper- and metal-backed films. Aluminum oxide-based electrodes have a very long service life and enable corona discharges with a high power density for the treatment of both conductive and non-conductive materials. Available in various different profile shapes (especially square tubes), our aluminum oxide electrodes meet the highest demands for dimensional stability, surface quality and dielectric strength.

You benefit from these advantages:

  • High mechanical strength and stability and long service life
  • High surface quality and uniformity of the ceramic
  • Electrically insulating, high dielectric strength
  • Large component lengths available
  • Material: AluSIK-99
