Preform Mould for Household Glas

In the production of household glass, the molten glass is blown or pressed into the preform. As the melt fills the preform, it is formed into the desired shape. Graphite is proving to be a superior material for the preforms. It combines outstanding temperature and oxidation resistance with the water absorption advantage of traditional wood molds. By storing water in the porous graphite structure, the cooling process is accelerated by the formation of a water vapor film. The result is visually perfect, true-to-size and physiologically safe glass products.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • Wide material portfolio
  • Smallest lowest quantities possible
  • Excellent thermal shock resistance
  • Water absorption and formation of a water vapor film
  • Extremely low impact on the product in contact with it
