Schunk Xycarb Technology is a global entity with various locations around the world, each with a unique expertise that contributes to our business. These diverse skill sets make each location distinct, necessitating specific employees to meet its needs. Our locations include Helmond in the Netherlands, Georgetown in Texas, USA, Shanghai in China, Hsin Chu in Taiwan, Seoul in South Korea, Singapore in the Republic of Singapore, Tokyo in Japan, as well as Heuchelheim, Büdingen and Freiberg in Germany.

What we do in Helmond: we focus on SiC graphite parts for semiconductors, SiC-coated parts, TaC-coated parts, and solid SiC parts for SiC epitaxy and SiC crystal growth. Our company specialises in producing high-tech consumable parts made of quartz, graphite, and ceramics for the semiconductor, LED, silicon, and solar industries. With over 600 professionals in its international team around the globe, we indirectly contribute to the production of devices used in computers, servers, lasers, LED lights, cars, and smartphones.
We have circa 370 dedicated employees from 30 countries and we’re growing. Multisite organisations operate across various locations worldwide, connecting these sites to foster collaboration. Some roles have a global scope, involving travel based on function. Our teams work together seamlessly across different sites, ensuring proximity to customers and delivering cutting-edge products.

The Business Line Microelectronics, situated within the headquarters of the Schunk Group, closely collaborates with other Schunk entities and operates mainly in the solar industry. Approximately 30 colleagues are employed at the Business Line Microelectronics. The main departments are Operations, Quality, Customer Service, Planning, Controlling and Business Development. Due to its position close to the Schunk Group office, Business Line Microelectronics offers a vibrant work environment, a restaurant with hot meals and other facilities.
Acquired in 2023, SemiMat has two locations (Büdingen and Freiberg) and has approximately 40 employees in total. It specialises in quartz-related operations (produces and sells quartz parts specifically for the semiconductor industry) and quartz repair. With this acquisition, Schunk Xycarb Technology becomes the sole epitaxy quartz parts supplier in the semiconductor industry with production sites across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
