Heuchelheim, August 6, 2026 – The Tour der Hoffnung (Tour of Hope) charity bike tour once again made a stop at Schunk in Heuchelheim with around 180 participants. With a total donation of €10,000, the Schunk Group is supporting the organization’s work again this year.

The cyclists arrived at the Schunk site in Heuchelheim on Thursday, where they were welcomed for a short stopover. In addition to a brief rest break, the highlight of the visit was the presentation of the donation check.

The cycling group was welcomed by Thomas Totzeck, Managing Director of Schunk Kohlenstofftechnik: “We are delighted to welcome Tour der Hoffnung to Heuchelheim again this year. Through their commitment, the participants send a strong message of solidarity for children with cancer and their families. As the Schunk Group, we wholeheartedly support this dedication.”

Totzeck presented the €10,000 donation check to Petra Behle, patron of Tour der Hoffnung. Earlier, Schunk employees had raised €2,145 for the charitable cause. The company’s management then increased the amount to a total of €10,000.

This marks the third time that Tour der Hoffnung has visited Schunk’s corporate headquarters. For more than 40 years, the organization has been supporting children and young people with cancer. The funds raised benefit research projects and institutions that assist affected children and their families throughout treatment and care.
