16,000 Euro for siting municipalities

Ludwig-Schunk-Foundation donates for social purposes

Dr. Arno Roth, Lars Burkhard Steinz (Mayor of Heuchelheim), Thomas Brunner (Mayor of Wettenberg), Gunthard Sommer, Patricia Ortmann (Mayor of Biebertal), Dietmar Kromm (Mayor of Reiskirchen) and Rüdiger Schwalm.

The Ludwig Schunk Foundation has donated a total of 16,000 euros to the four municipalities of Heuchelheim, Wettenberg, Biebertal and Reiskirchen: 4,000 euros each are to benefit social institutions there.

"The Ludwig-Schunk-Stiftung has been supporting these four communities for many years, because most of the active and former Schunk employees live here," explained Gunthard Sommer, Chairman of the Board of the Ludwig-Schunk-Stiftung e. V., when handing over the donation cheques to the mayors.

With this donation, Schunk would like to make a contribution especially to the care of the elderly residents. For this reason, the donation for Biebertal went directly to the support association of the social center, in the other communities the donation is intended for social purposes.

"Schunk is a long-term oriented company, partnership is one of our basic values. That is why it is important to us that we continue to support the four local communities this year in a reliable and customary manner," Sommer continued, referring to the current situation through Corona, which is not easy for Schunk either.
