Ludwig Schunk in Wettenberg

Schunk in Wettenberg has a new colleague: Last week, Ludwig Schunk moved in there, and he did so as a bronze bust. Dr. Arno Roth, CEO of the Schunk Group, officially handed over the likeness of the company founder last Friday, together with his colleagues Dr. Ulrich von Hülsen and Peter R. Manolopoulos.
During the handover, Dr. Roth emphasized in a short speech to the employees how well the site has developed in recent years. Over the past ten years, Schunk has invested more than 30 million euros in the site, where two of Schunk's lead companies have their headquarters: those of the Business Unit Sonosystems and the Business Unit Transit Systems.
Investments were made not only in machinery and buildings, such as the new assembly hall of Schunk Sonosystems, but also in the expansion of the site. "This has created space for even more growth here in Wettenberg," said Dr. Roth. "And I am sure: You will also need this space."
This is also in line with Ludwig Schunk's wishes, according to which the healthy further development and preservation of the company's independence had top priority, Dr. Roth said. The Schunk bust is intended as a reminder of this, he said. "I am sure that Ludwig Schunk will find a place of honor with you here in Wettenberg."
