Graphite Continuous Casting Mould (Coated)

In continuous casting, molten metal is continuously admitted into the mold, where it solidifies and can thus be withdrawn. Graphite proves to be a superior material for the mold in this process, as it has no negative influence on the composition of the finished product. We have developed our coated graphite dies specifically for the continuous casting of lead-free copper alloys. Since lead-free alloys are very aggressive, our molds are protected by a coating - which significantly extends their service life.

Take advantage of these benefits:

  • Coating of the mold increases its service life
  • Good chemical and thermal resistance
  • Good thermal conductivity
  • Excellent thermal shock resistance
  • Low thermal expansion
  • Good lubricating and sliding properties
  • Especially for lead-free alloys
