An introduction to the senior management

The Schunk Group is led by a chief executive officer and one chief operations officer, who together comprise the senior management of the Schunk Group.

Dr. Arno Roth
Chief Executive Officer of the Schunk Group (CEO)

Dr. Arno Roth was born in Bärenbach/Hunsrück, Germany in 1961. After completing his degree in physics at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, he obtained his doctorate as a Dr. rer. nat. Dr. Roth served as a research assistant at the Max Plank Institute for Chemistry before becoming a corporate advisor to McKinsey & Company in 1993.

Dr. Roth has been with the Schunk Group since 1998, initially as a chief representative for special strategic functions and as managing director of Weiss Technik starting in 2001. Since 2007, he has been responsible for the Weiss Technik and Sonosystems divisions as a member of the senior management.

In 2013, Dr. Roth assumed chairmanship of the Schunk Group senior management. He is responsible for the Carbon Technology and Sinter Metals division and, on the corporate level, for finance, strategic development, public relations, investment controlling and personnel.

Peter R. Manolopoulos
Member of the Executive Board of the Schunk Group (COO)

Peter R. Manolopoulos was born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1969. After studying business economics at the University of Münster (WWU), he initially worked for a management consultancy before moving to Babcock Borsig AG in 2000.

From 2002 onward, Mr. Manolopoulos occupied several executive positions with the GEA Group AG, a globally active German machinery and system manufacturer, where his final position was managing director of GEA Energietechnik GmbH.

In 2011, he became director of operative business at Roth & Rau AG, a leading machinery and system manufacturer in the solar industry.

Since 2013, Mr. Manolopoulos has been a member of the senior management of the Schunk Group and responsible for the Weiss Technik, Schunk Sonosystems and OptoTech divisions within the company management.
