Nationality: Korean
Studies: Business Administration at Dongguk University, South Korea

I became aware of the Global Graduate Program through a recruitment website in Korea. I was especially attracted to the challenge and to the experience that I would gain – it’s what convinced me to apply. The challenge for me is adapting to different environments and cultures. In doing so, I get to know the different working methods applied in different countries and Schunk Group companies.

I’ve already had a lot of opportunities in this regard: I started the program at Schunk Carbon Technology in Korea. There, I made a benchmark in the field of automotive production together with other automotive locations of Schunk. I examined how coal brushes can be manufactured in a more profitable way in Korea. My next stop was at the location in Heuchelheim, Germany, in the Schunk Sinter Metals division. Here, my job was to carry out a market study for the Asian sintered metal market. Currently, I am at my third station and working as a project manager in the Weiss Technik division in Taicang, China.

Throughout this time, I worked with many people from different backgrounds and countries. It was very interesting to get to know their different perspectives and working methods. I also like the strong focus that the Schunk Group places on the future – not just for the company, but also as it relates to employees. Everyone can contribute their opinions and collaborate on innovations. For me, this is what makes working with the Schunk Group particularly special.

I recommend the program to all those who are interested in working in a global technology group and who want to learn, move, and have the opportunity to take on new challenges.
