Arno Roth was born in Bärenbach/Hunsrück in 1961. After graduating from school and serving in the German Armed Forces he studied physics at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, where he received a Dr. rer. nat. degree.

He worked as a scientific assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz. In 1993, Dr. Arno Roth started at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. His clients were companies from different industries and he managed projects on world-wide basis.

On 1st October 1998, he started as a chief representative at Schunk GmbH. His range of tasks included special strategic functions and the development and implementation of operational improvement programs within the Schunk Group.

He was appointed Managing Director of Weiss Technik, Reiskirchen-Lindenstruth from 1st July 2001. He is responsible for the administration of the German Weiss companies and overseas the 21 Weiss companies in Germany and abroad.

Since 1st July 2007, he is appointed Managing Director of Schunk GmbH as well as for Schunk Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH and responsible for the two business divisions of the Schunk Group Environmental Technology and Air-Conditioning Technology.
