Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)

Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)

Schunk has a longterm experience and expertise in production of graphite tubes for atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) since many years. This is considered one of the most important methods for determination of trace elements. Thermal exited atoms do emit elementspecific light which weakens the radiated energy of an elementspecific reference light source. The concentration of the elements to be analysed can be determined by measuring this reduction according to Lambert-Beer's law. Atomizing temperatures up to 5000° F (2800° C) are achieved in graphite tube technology.
